The 2016 Summer Davos opens on June 26 in North China’s Tianjin Municipality.
This year’s event is expected to attract over 1,700 political and business leaders from more than 90 countries, including the prime ministers of South Korea and Kyrgyzstan. Celebrities like Korean Go player Lee Sedol and NBA star Jeremy Lin will also attend the event.
Under the theme of “The Fourth Revolution and Its Transformational Impact,” the three-day forum will focus on technological innovation and its growing influence on the economy. This year will see some 200 seminars being held. 80 of them will be technology related, and high-tech products will also be shown in the forum’s exhibition area.
Summer Davos, also known as the Annual Meeting of the New Champions, was established in 2007 by the World Economic Forum, a Swiss non-profit foundation.
