The long-awaited Shenzhen-Hong Kong Stock Connect is expected to launch in early November. The announcement comes after the Shenzhen and Hong Kong stock exchanges, along with the China Securities Depository and Clearing Corp and Hong Kong Securities Clearing Co, signed a cooperation agreement on Oct 11.

To ensure the new system is implemented smoothly, the Shenzhen and Hong Kong stock exchanges will carry out simulation tests starting on Oct 17 and running until Nov 9. After the success of the similar Shanghai-Hong Kong stock connect, this new system is expected to offer more opportunities to investors from both sides.
