Latvian bigwigs on China-CEE summit

Updated: Nov 4,2016 4:58 PM

Premier Li Keqiang’s visit to Latvia is a historical occasion, the first by a Chinese Premier since Latvia gained independence in 1991.

In Riga, Latvia, Premier Li will attend the annual forum of heads of state from 16 central and eastern European (CEE) countries. The European Union will also be in attendance as an observer, indicating how critical the “16+1” cooperative mechanism has become for China’s relations with Europe.
