The exhilarating Chinese dance drama Confucius has captivated audiences at the Lincoln Center in New York City.
Directed and choreographed by the direct 77th-generation descendant of the philosopher himself, Kong Dexin, and performers from the China National Opera and Dance Drama Theater, the beautifully integrated combination of dance, culture and drama tells the life story of the legendary philosopher.
“I think this is the most beautiful, elegant ballet I’ve ever seen. The colors, and the voices, and the movement of dancers were amazing,” said a spectator following a performance in the US city.
