China’s logistic sector has soared in June, reaching 55.8 percent, according to the latest report from the China Federation of Logistics & Purchasing (CFLP).
The driving factors behind its fast expansion are a booming e-commerce and growth of delivery services.
Food, electronics devices and appliances are the main contributors. The midyear sale, so called 6.18, was the main factor of the increase in sales. RRS, a major logistics companies in China’s northern region, says its workload surged more than 10 fold during the 6.18 blowout sale.
Analysts say that the ever-growing demand of e-commerce is playing an increasingly significant role in the whole logistics industry. “It also reflects that the overall structure of China’s economy is undergoing a profound transformation,” said Cai Jin, deputy director of the CFLP.
