This year marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). It is also the China-ASEAN Year of Tourism Cooperation, so it is fitting that this fall’s China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO) will be bigger and better than ever before.
The State Council Information Office announced on July 10 that the 14th CAEXPO and the China-ASEAN Business & Investment Summit will take place in Nanning, capital of South China’s Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, from Sept 12 to 15.
A new section of the Nanning International Convention & Exhibition Center will be put into use, adding another 12,000 square meters and taking the total exhibition space to 122,000 square meters. It will be able to accommodate 6,500 booths, 700 more than at the previous session.
The Chinese Commodity Pavilion will highlight “Advanced Smart Products”, with sophisticated internet functions. There will also be a pavilion dedicated to technology for environmental protection, and another to the Belt and Road Initiative.
