The People’s Bank of China has issued commemorative coins to mark the 70 year anniversary of the victories of the Chinese Peoples’ War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-fascist War.
There are four sets of coins that include a nickel clad steel version, one made from a quarter ounce of gold, 1 ounce silver and 5 ounces of silver coins.
The obverse design is based on the national emblem and has the title “2015” printed at the bottom.
Meanwhile, the national postal service will also release a set of stamps to commemorate the two anniversaries.
There will be 13 specially designed stamps and a souvenir sheet. The items will be available to the public from Sept 3 across the country.
