A circular was issued on Dec 20 by the State Council approving the start of a test reform for standardization in East China’s Zhejiang province.

The detailed plan of the reform will be made by Zhejiang provincial government.

The State Council urges Zhejiang to take effective measures to carry out a standardization strategy with the goal of improving the work across the province, as many industries and social sectors need to be standardized, including technology innovation, modern agriculture, service industry, public service and infrastructure.

The General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine and related departments under the State Council will carry out assessments on the test reform, said the document.
