The State Council released the catalog and standards of centralized procurement for government under the central budget for 2017-2018.

The procurement of office supplies such as desktop computers, laptops, software, servers and copy machines should be purchased by procurement agencies, according to the State Council.

For government departments that have special requirements, such as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Public Security and the National Health and Family Planning Commission, they can purchase the required commodities or equipment on their own, said the State Council.

Department purchases of commodities or service items with the value of more than one million yuan and engineering projects valuing more than 1.2 million yuan should be purchased according to laws and regulations, and a public bidding is needed for the purchase of goods and service items with the value of more than two million yuan.
