The State Council approved establishing an inter-ministerial joint conference for the popularization of laws, clarifying the responsibilities of law enforcement and promotion.

According to the statement, the mechanism is aimed at organizing, coordinating, guiding and promoting the work in related regions and departments in popularizing laws.

The joint conference system, led by the Ministry of Justice, will involve 16 ministries, commissions and institutions, including the Ministry of Public Security, the Supreme People’s Court and the State Administration for Industry and Commerce.

Justice Minister Zhang Jun will assume the role of convener of the joint conference, which will be held annually, according to the statement.
