China adds new precursor chemicals to its catalog

The State Council has agreed to add five precursor chemicals to the Catalog of Classification and Types of Precursor Chemicals affiliated with China’s Regulation on the Administration of Precursor Chemicals, according to communication sent to related departments.

Precursor chemicals are compounds that are required in drug production.

The chemicals added to Category I are: N-phenethyl-4-piperidone, 4-anilino-N-henethyl piperidine and N-methyl-1-phenyl-1-chlorine-2-Propylamine, and those added to Category II are bromine and 1-phenyl-1-acetone.
