The State Council issued a circular on March 1 to make government services more standardized, normalized, and more convenient to the public.

According to the circular, government services at five levels - national, provincial, city, county, and township - will get substantially improved, and an integrated platform will be set up by the end of 2022.

As the circular said, government services should be further standardized in terms of service items, implementation lists and service systems.

The circular also called for normalization in approvals, service venues, online procedures, integrated development of online and offline services, and evaluations.

The circular also pressed for more convenience in this field, so people could work out issues through one-stop windows with a minimum of application materials in their communities, online or on mobile phones. Smart, precise and customized government services were also encouraged.

In addition, further improvements were stressed in national integrated government service platforms, especially in construction coordination, public support and data-sharing capacity.
