BEIJING — The Ministry of Public Security (MPS) on Aug 29 stressed strengthening students’ traffic safety as they return to campus to start a new school year.
Safety checks will be launched around primary and middle schools, kindergartens and school bus enterprises nationwide, targeting school buses and their drivers, said the Traffic Management Bureau under the MPS.
Meanwhile, traffic police will increase patrols on the street to crack down on overloading, speeding, illegally-assembled school buses, and other violations, said the bureau.
