BEIJING - State Councilor Wang Yong pledged here Monday to further cooperation with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).

During a meeting with visiting WIPO Director General Francis Gurry, Wang appreciated the organization’s assistance for China’s IPR cause.

He expressed hope that the WIPO would play a bigger role in promoting global cooperation and improving international IPR mechanisms.

Gurry spoke highly of China’s achievements in IPR sector, adding that WIPO would enhance cooperation with China.
