State Councilor Wang Yong urged authorities to implement institutional reform in commercial affairs and boost the healthy development of small and micro businesses.

Wang stressed that the guidelines of the 18th CPC National Congress and the 3rd and the 4th plenary sessions of the 18th CPC Central Committee should be fully implemented. Authorities should further streamline administrative procedures and delegate power to create a thriving business environment and enable a tide of entrepreneurial innovation to sustain economic development, he said.

Wang visited TusPark on Nov 20. The park, set up by Tsinghua University, is a project targeting the accelerated transition from research findings to productivity. He also visited the Centre for Entrepreneurship of Zhongguancun and a branch of the Beijing Administration for Industry and Commerce in Haidian district.

His visit allowed him to see at first-hand the vitality of small and micro businesses as well as the challenges they face.

He also appreciated the efforts of the government to ease the path for small and micro businesses, making it easier for them to set up and operate.
