State Councilor Wang Yong inspected the progress of administrative reform in Yunnan province during a visit from April 21 to 23, and called for greater efforts to deepen reform and better serve public entrepreneurship and innovation.
Wang visited industrial and commercial service centers, quality inspection institutions and small- and micro-sized enterprises in Kunming and Yuxi.
He acknowledged progress made by Yunnan province in transforming the government’s functions, promoting administrative reforms, and support of the development of small- and micro-sized businesses.
Wang said efforts should be continued to step up reform of administrative streamlining and the commercial registration system to stimulate the vitality of both market and society.
An enterprise information publicity system should be established and more should be done to share information among various departments.
A unified market access system should be implemented and any actions that violate competition and damage the rights and interests of consumers should be punished, to ensure a fair market environment, Wang said.
The state councilor called for departments to provide more qualified public services concerning certification and accreditation, inspection and testing, to support economic development.
He also said support for small- and micro-sized businesses should be increased to ensure their survival and development, thus facilitating employment and innovation.
