State Councilor and Minister of Public Security Guo Shengkun called for all-out efforts to combat terrorism and maintain security and stability in the coming Spring Festival during a video and telephone conference on Jan 17.

Guo urged severe punishment for those maliciously refusing to pay workers’ wages and eliminating potential hazards affecting public security and social stability.

He also suggested further improving basic management and emergency disposal of counter-terrorism intelligence information and demanded taking strict precautions against violent terrorist incidents.
