Defense minister meets New Zealand counterpart in Beijing

Defense Minister Chang Wanquan met with his New Zealand counterpart, Gerry Brownlee, on Oct 12 in Beijing.

Chang said the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and New Zealand is moving forward steadily with high-level and military exchanges, and more cooperation in joint training and drills.

China is willing to work with New Zealand to increase pragmatic cooperation, and promote bilateral military relations, said Chang.

Brownlee said New Zealand and China share security interests, and expressed his willingness to strengthen defense cooperation and military ties between the two nations.
