State Councilor and Secretary-General of the State Council Yang Jing called on government offices to adapt to new situations, carry out solid implementation of governmental policies, and improve the government’s capabilities and credibility.

Yang made the remarks during a speech at a national meeting attended by secretary-generals and general office directors from all levels of China’s government, which was held in Beijing on Dec 22 and 23.

“Next year is significant for the implementation of the 13th Five-Year Plan and the supply-side structural reform,” Yang said.

Efforts should be made to implement policies laid out by the central government, promote economic development and the improvement of people’s livelihoods and provide high-standard administrative services, he added.
