BEIJING — State Councilor Yang Jiechi will visit Cambodia from April 27 to 28 and co-chair the fourth meeting of the China-Cambodia intergovernmental coordinating committee with Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister Hor Nam Hong.

Yang will also meet Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni and Prime Minister Hun Sen, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Geng Shuang said on April 24.

Geng said the visit is expected to enhance the traditional friendship between China and Cambodia and promote the development of the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership, which was established in 2010.

The continuous development of China-Cambodia relations will not only benefit the two peoples, but also contribute to regional peace, stability and development, Geng said.
