On April 24, at a provincial coordination meeting of ministries on last year’s fire control assessment, State Councilor Guo Shengkun urged enhancing fire control assessment, and called on governments at all levels to fulfill their responsibilities in fire prevention.

Governments at all levels are required to evaluate various tasks in fire control, make continued efforts in public and fire safety, to ensure the security of people’s lives and property, according to the meeting.

The meeting also called for efforts to screen out weak links and potential safety hazards in fire control, focus on restrictions, and lay out countermeasures to tackle challenges.
