State Councilor Yang Jing has urged central government officials to study and implement the spirit of the 19th Communist Party of China (CPC) National Congress.

At a symposium on Oct 27, he said government officials should give full support to the CPC Central Committee with Xi Jinping at the core and comprehend the significance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era.

It is a primary political task for government officials to study and implement the spirit of the congress, he said.

He also said that central government departments should follow the guidance of the spirit of the congress, make progress while ensuring stability in their work, and make sure that the main social and economic development targets this year can be achieved.
