State Councilor Yang Jiechi met with a Committee of 100 delegation in Beijing on Dec 4.

Yang, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, said the Committee of 100 has been committed to promoting the people-to-people exchanges and cooperation between China and the United States, and it has done much fruitful work in enhancing the friendship between the two peoples. He expected the group to unite Chinese people living in the US to consolidate public support for bilateral ties and participate in China’s reform and opening-up.

The Committee of 100 extended its congratulations for the success of the 19th CPC National Congress and expressed its willingness to play a unique role in supporting China’s reform and opening-up as well as facilitating bilateral exchanges and cooperation.
