State Councilor Guo Shengkun, who is also secretary of the Commission for Political and Legal Affairs of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and member of the Political Bureau of CPC Central Committee, addressed a symposium on legal services attended by representatives from the judiciary system on Jan 11.

Guo fully affirmed the contributions made by police and legal service officers to the livelihood of the masses and security of the overall society. Meanwhile, he pressed all parties concerned to continue to go all out on the right path with people’s well-being navigating their work.

Guo said that further efforts should be made to step up the construction of a public legal services system to extend precise and effective services to more people, especially with innovative approaches initiated to cater to people’s needs.

In addition, Guo said the well-being of legal service staff should also be a major concern in promoting judicial administration.
