State Councilor Wang Yong urged local authorities to help those in need and the disabled, making sure they enjoy a nice Spring Festival holiday, as he visited Ningxia Hui autonomous region Feb 2.

He toured local communities, including social welfare homes, nursing homes, disability rehabilitation centers and retired soldiers’ retreats.

It is the government’s crucial responsibility to safeguard the basic requirements of people in need and the disabled, he said. “The government should firmly implement policies on social assistance and social welfare, coordinate with other social sectors and consolidate various resources.”
