State Councilor Zhao Kezhi stressed intensifying efforts to reform standing public security forces during a meeting held on April 24 in Beijing.

The state councilor called for public security forces to speed up formulation of reform planning, intensify publicity and education and guide officials and soldiers to work together in commitment to the reform.

The committees of Communist Party of China should take primary responsibility in enforcing discipline and ensuring a stable and dynamic public security force.
