State Councilor Wang Yong met with Gudrun Yngvadottir, international president of Lions Clubs International, in Beijing on Nov 25.

Wang expressed his appreciation to Lions Clubs International for its charitable activities around the world and in China.

He said that the Communist Party of China (CPC) and the Chinese government attach great importance to people’s lives and will further support and promote the healthy development of charitable causes.

He also hoped that Lions Clubs International will continue to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with China Lions Federation and its governing unit, China Disabled Persons’ Federation, and play an active role in promoting the development of charitable causes around the world and in China.
