State Councilor Wang Yong stressed that continuing efforts should be made to enhance reforms and improve the business environment, in a conference on market regulations in Beijing on Dec 27.
In order to build an easy, fair business environment, the government should continue to widen market access and cut the time for starting a company, said Wang. Reforms should also be advanced to reduce certificates and permits for manufacturing industrial products, and to shorten the time for trademark and patent examination.
According to Wang, the government will support the development of private companies and small and medium enterprises, and promote innovation and creativity by strengthening the protection of intellectual property rights.
More work will be done to improve the food and drug supervision and regulation system and boost the development of high-quality manufacturing, Wang added.
