State Councilor and Minister of Public Security Zhao Kezhi said that immigration management should be further enhanced in the new era.
He made the remarks at a national meeting on immigration management on Jan 24.
As this year marks the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, Zhao also stressed efforts to maintain security and stability during the coming ceremony.
Zhao said efforts should be made to ensure safety and stability in border ports. And, immigration management work should be improved to make more contributions to reform and opening-up and the nation’s development. Administrative reforms and enhanced supervision should also be carried out to optimize government services on immigration.
Zhao added that a professional immigration management team of high-quality should be trained to meet the requirements of the new era.
