State Councilor Wang Yong attended a panel discussion with deputies from Shandong province at the second session of the 13th National People’s Congress in Beijing on March 5.

He said the Government Work Report focused on people’s livelihood and laid out comprehensive arrangement for the work this year.

Despite various difficulties, China made hard-won achievements in social and economic development, he said.

He also said that more efforts should be made in the supply-side structural reform and campaigns against major risks, poverty, and pollution this year.
