State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi met with Bangladeshi Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen and Pakistan’s Ambassador to China Masood Khalid on July 5.
During the meeting with Momen, Wang highly praised the successful visit of Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, saying the trip has drawn the two countries’ friendship closer and set a direction for further development of bilateral relations.
In regard to the Rakhine State, Wang stressed the importance for Bangladesh and Myanmar to strengthen communication in dealing with divergence, which is beneficial for both countries, and China is willing to provide any help if necessary.
Momen said Bangladesh appreciates China’s long-term support, and is willing to enhance strategic partnership with China.
While meeting with Khalid, Wang hailed the all-weather strategic partnership that has gone through international changes and is still strong. The two peoples’ hearts are always bonded together. As loyal friends, China and Pakistan should keep strengthening and developing the friendship to deliver more benefits to people of the two countries.
Khalid said he is fully confident to the future of bilateral relations, and he will continue devoting all his effort to the China- Pakistan friendship.
