Vice-Premier Hu Chunhua called for sound preparations for the 2022 WorldSkills Competition at a meeting in Beijing on Dec 17.
Hu, also head of the leading group for preparation work of the 2022 WorldSkills Competition, made the remarks at the third meeting of the group. He addressed joint efforts of all parties, asking them to make plans in advance on major foreign affairs activities such as opening and closing ceremonies, so as to enhance the competition’s international influence.
Facilities such as stadiums and venues should be built according to first-class standards, and intensified efforts should be made in collecting exhibits of the WorldSkills Museum, he added.
Meanwhile, preparation work should be made to organize Chinese delegation’s training and participation, he said, while work including event organization and publicity, security services and epidemic prevention and control should be well-prepared.
