BEIJING — Ten patients of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) were discharged from hospital after recovery on the Chinese mainland on May 15, the National Health Commission said on May 16.

Altogether 78,219 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital by the end of May 15, the commission said in its daily report.

As of May 15, a total of 82,941 confirmed COVID-19 cases had been reported on the mainland, and 4,633 people had died of the disease.
