BEIJING — Six patients of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) were discharged from hospital after recovery on the Chinese mainland on May 13, the National Health Commission said May 14.

Altogether 78,195 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital by the end of May 13, the commission said in its daily report.

As of May 13, a total of 82,929 confirmed COVID-19 cases had been reported on the mainland, and 4,633 people had died of the disease.
