BEIJING — Six COVID-19 patients were discharged from hospitals after recovery on the Chinese mainland on June 9, the National Health Commission said on June 10.

There were 55 patients still being treated, the commission said in its daily report.

Altogether 78,357 patients had been cured and discharged from hospitals by June 9, the report said.

As of June 9, 83,046 confirmed COVID-19 cases had been reported on the mainland, including 4,634 who had died of the disease.
