BEIJING — The National Health Commission said on Sept 22 that 13 COVID-19 patients were discharged from hospitals after recovery on the Chinese mainland on Sept 21.

There were 166 patients still being treated, the commission said in its daily report.

Altogether 80,497 patients had been cured and discharged from hospitals by Sept 21, the report said.

As of Sept 21, a total of 85,297 confirmed COVID-19 cases had been reported on the mainland, among whom 4,634 died of the disease.
