Defense chiefs of China, Cote d’Ivoire meet

BEIJING — Defense Minister Chang Wanquan on April 22 held talks with his Cote d’Ivoire counterpart Paul Koffi Koffi in Beijing.

Chang underscored the Chinese military’s commitment to deepening ties with Cote d’Ivoire, calling for more exchanges between high-ranking officers and stronger practical cooperation.

Koffi labeled China a trustworthy partner, pledging to boost professional training and cooperation in other fields.

Before the talks, Chang gave Koffi a welcome ceremony, including an honor guard review.
