State Councilor and Minister of Public Security Guo Shengkun addressed a national public security video conference on Dec 30. He stressed further strengthening leadership, inspection and responsibility fulfillment to ensure public safety during the three-day New Year’s Day holiday.

The Ministry of Public Security is required to enhance risk evaluation, warning and prevention; improve security and contingency plans; strengthen security at large-scale events and gatherings during the holiday. The ministry also asked leaders at every level to go to the front line to strengthen inspections.
