State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi attended a panel discussion with deputies from Chongqing municipality at the second session of the 13th National People’s Congress in Beijing on March 5.

While reviewing the achievement made at home and abroad in 2018, Wang said China’s diplomacy always stands with the correct trend of history amid rising unilateralism and protectionism.

China always upholds justice and the basic principles in international relations with no compromise in its legitimate rights, he added.

He also praised the progress Chongqing achieved last year.
