BEIJING — Vice-Premier Zhang Gaoli met with Pakistani Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif in Beijing on Nov 8, stressing bilateral cooperation in economy and anti-terrorism campaigns.

China highly values the construction of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor and is ready to steadily advance the project together with Pakistan, Zhang told Sharif.

China supports Pakistan’s efforts to carry out anti-terrorism strategy in line with its own national conditions and plans to work more closely with Pakistan in fighting terrorist organizations such as the East Turkistan Islamic Movement, he said.

Sharif thanked China for its support for Pakistan’s economic development and pledged cooperation in building the economic corridor and cracking down on terrorism.
