BEIJING — Vice-Premier Zhang Gaoli called for advancing household registration system reforms based on human-centered urbanization.
Local governments must lose no time in working out and publicizing exact measures for local household registration reform, Zhang said at a video conference
China will accelerate the development of middle and small-sized cities and gradually realize the urbanization of rural people that “meet the requirements,” said Zhang, also a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee.
Meanwhile, it will also strengthen the cities’ public facilities and service abilities and strive to ensure the farmer-turned citizen’s rights and interests, he said.
