BEIJING — A symposium was held on Dec 5 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the birth of the late vice-premier Chen Xilian.
Vice-Premier Zhang Gaoli attended the symposium.
Chen was born in 1915 and became a member of the Communist Party of China (CPC) in 1930. He was a member of the Standing Committee of the Central Military Commission (CMC).
