BEIJING — Vice-Premier Liu Yandong on Aug 12 met with a delegation from the US congressional black caucus (CBC) led by chairman George Butterfield.
Liu spoke highly of the seventh China-US strategic and economic dialogue and the sixth China-US high-level consultation on people-to-people exchanges in June.
She said the two countries should continue to strengthen cultural and people-to-people exchanges to provide better support for the new model of major-country relations.
Butterfield said the CBC will continue to support cultural and people-to-people exchanges between the two countries to contribute to the development of bilateral relations.
