Skilled talents are an important part of the country, and play a big role in economic development and social progress. A prosperous society allows skilled talents to reach their greatest potential. Therefore, the quality of skilled talents should be enhanced by strengthening vocational education and skills training, and increasing international exchanges. Besides, income distribution and incentive policies should be improved to create a better environment for talents, the vice-premier added.

The 43rd WorldSkills Competition was held in Sao Paolo, Brazil from Aug 11 to 16, during which athletes from China won four gold medals, six silver medals and three bronze medals. This is the first time the Chinese delegation won a gold medal and the best results ever achieved since they first took part in the games.
