Vice-Premier Liu Yandong urged the nation to further carry out reform and improve the education inspection system, when attending the 10th national meeting for education inspectors’ appointment in Beijing on Oct 20.

Education inspection has played an important role in the education reform which strengthened supervision of campus’s safety, teaching quality and teachers’ morality, said Liu.

Liu also stressed the education inspectors should solve the issues found in school management and education reform efficiently, and seek innovative methods to inspect and improve campuses’ evaluation system.

The meeting appointed 243 education inspectors and nearly 140,000 inspectors are now in place for nationwide education inspection work.
