Vice-Premier Hu Chunhua stressed the urgency of more efforts to advance all-around implementation of institutional reforms in the customs system, during an inspection at customs for Beijing Capital International Airport on April 20.
Hu affirmed the dedication of customs staff to undertaking the reforms as well as their laudable achievements in various regards, highlighting the efficient workflow of security inspections despite the heavy workload.
At a new starting point, customs administration should push ahead with in-depth institutional integration and strive for unified declaration documents, operation systems, risk evaluations and more in a bid to boost the efficiency of services, said Hu.
The solidarity of customs staff should be prioritized, Hu added, and the initiative of each member should be brought into full play, as a close-knit team is a prerequisite of a well-established institution.
