Vice-Premier Hu Chunhua, who is also head of the organizing committee of the 2019 Beijing International Horticultural Expo, led the fifth meeting of the committee in Beijing on April 18.

Noting that the opening of the expo is around the corner, Hu said that all parties involved should commit themselves to the preparation work and ensure the expo will come off without a hitch.

The opening ceremony, Hu added, is of considerable significance to the expo. The whole procedure needs to be further refined and well coordinated.

Security work, publication work, and other related services call for efforts to leave a cultural legacy and carry it forward.
