Vice-Premier Sun Chunlan met with Uzbek Deputy Prime Minister Aziz Abdukhakimov at the Zhongnanhai leadership compound in Beijing on May 15.

Sun welcomed Abdukhakimov to attend the Conference on Dialogue of Asian Civilizations, noting that China and Uzbekistan are good neighbors, friends and partners, whose comprehensive strategic partnership should be further developed.

The two countries should deepen people-to-people exchanges in jointly building the Belt and Road, and try to achieve more cooperative outcomes in education, culture, tourism, healthcare and sports, she added.

Abdukhakimov appreciates China’s valuable support to Uzbekistan, and said his country is willing to increase cooperation with China in various fields.
