BEIJING — State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi met with President of the Constitutional Council of France Laurent Fabius in Beijing on Oct 16.
Wang said the China-France relations have maintained a continuous high-standard development under the guidance of the two heads of state.
"China is ready to work with France to continue implementing the consensus reached by the two countries' leaders, deepen bilateral cooperation in multiple fields, and step up communication and coordination in major international and regional affairs, to spread positive energy to the global society," Wang said.
For his part, Fabius said that under the current complex international situation, both France and China have the responsibility to strengthen communication and cooperation to make contributions to world peace and development.
