Wang Yong, born in December 1955, is a member of the 18th CPC Central Committee, state councilor, and a member of the State Council Leading Party Members’ Group. He has been head of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission and secretary of its CPC committee since 2010.

Wang entered the workforce in August 1969, and joined the CPC in August 1974.
